School lookbook

Have you ever gotten dress coded? the rules about clothes in school are just ridiculous. RIDICULOUS. but regardless of how annoying the rules are, all you can do is follow them. a lot of articles show more revealing outfits for school; skirts above the thighs, shoulders showing, bra straps showing under translucent shirts. this is not one of those articles.

of course, revealing outfits are amazing. they're cute and make u look fabulous. but in school, your teachers and principal might not approve of the slip dresses and cheeky clothes that we love.

this is a more realistic lookbook, here to help you look cuter during your average school day, but still be practical and comfortable.

enjoy the article !!

t-shirts //

t-shirts or v-necks are a good option, and they give off a different aesthetic depending on the shirt. you can personalize each one. some brands with cute, tumblr-esque t-shirts are wild fable, online shops, or etsy.

sweaters //

turtlenecks, sweaters, or sweatshirts are crucial to my survival in winter. i don't know what i'd wear if i didn't have these. turtlenecks are adorable, no doubt about that, and sweaters/sweatshirts are easy to find, plus practical and very very comfy.

jeans //

explanation necessary (but you know i'm still gonna give you one). jeans are comfortable, they have pockets, you can style them differently with a belt or roll up the cuffs, and even buy some with ripped knees. they match with almost everything. you're welcome.

pants //

those plaid pants look sooooo comfortable and soft, plus fashionable, and you can pull off looking comfortable or elegant, depending on how you style it. sweatpants are also warm and soft, for the colder months, and you can even use them as pajamas.

jackets //

denim jackets are the bomb, leather jackets are so badass, corduroy jackets have a vintage aesthetic, windbreakers are very 80s/90s and adorable. there's a very nice selection of jackets that are both school appropriate and comfortable (not to mention stylish!).

sneakers //

sneakers, for me, are like my comfort shoes. i love nikes (i have a pair of white ones i'm currently obsessed with), vans, old fashioned checkered vans, converse, and nike air force ones. these are all really aesthetic and pretty shoes, as well as practical and easy to pull off. i suggest getting a pair of these to use as casual everyday shoes.

heels //

while these aren't the most practical or comfortable, they show others you mean business. i tend to use heels when i use a dress or want to feel badass. since i'm really short these are my lord and saviors (why do i keep doing that i'm an atheist).

accessories //

layering necklaces or bracelets is something that takes twenty seconds to do, but improves your whole outfit. hooped earrings, or any earrings at all, are quite classy and elegant. lastly, i'd suggest some of those tinted glasses to give your outfit a 90s vibe.

dresses //

dresses are a great way to stay classy. plus, there are many different types; plaid dresses, silk, satin, and more !! slip dresses or overall dresses are best paired with a white tee or a turtleneck. for classier dresses, i'd suggest high heels, but for less glamorous dresses you can use flats or even sneakers
