How to save money on clothes

If you love fashion (like, me), then I'm sure you know the struggle of trying not to blow all your money on clothes - with all the amazing fashion styles that are available in stores, its kinda hard not to - but since we don't have all the money in the world to buy whatever we want - we have to be careful with how much we spend on clothes. So, If you need some help saving money on clothes, then keep on reading:

1: Shop clearance sales

Before you check what new clothing items have landed in store, try checking what's on sale first. I know that it can be very tempting to go straight to the latest clothes, but that can distract you from seeing that there are some hot items that are on sale - and you can end up missing out on good deals.

2: Thrift

Don't sleep on thrift stores - you can find some hidden gems in there at a reasonable price.
Thrift stores are the best go-to places for everyday clothes - expect to find cool graphic t-shirts that you can wear as a t-shirt dress, or turn into crop tops. You can also find basic closet staples like: denim jackets, jeans, baseball hats, and blazers at an inexpensive price. These thrifted basic clothes can be layered or worn on top of your more special clothes.

3: Find affordable stores

I personally love to shop at multi-purpose retail stores for skinny jeans, and other basic items. Kmart (an australian version of target), or even target itself is where I get most of my skinny jeans - since the prices are super affordable, unlike other stores like Zara and Asos. Plus, the jeans are super comfy to wear, and are of high quality.
Besides Kmart and target, I gravitate towards Bohoo.com to shop for the latest styles at a reasonable price. There is always a discount on their site that lasts 24 hours and 48 hours, which means that you won't burn a hole in your wallet when shopping for trendy clothes.

4: Shop out of season clothes

Clothes that are out of season are usually on sale, for instance, since its summer right now, prices for winter clothes and fall clothes are significantly lower than pre-season clothes because stores are trying to get rid of them from their inventory. Take advantage of this opportunity and find some stylish fall/ winter blazers and jackets that you can pair with a crop top, high waist skinny jeans, and sneakers to create a cool, everyday look.

5: Use Coupon codes

Coupon codes will be your hero when you're trying to save money on your purchases. if you need some help finding some coupon sites.

6: Stylishly Re-use your old clothes

There are so many ways you can make outfits you've already worn look brand new without having to actually buy an entire new outfit.

7: You don't have to follow every fashion trend

I know that FOMO can sometimes get the best of us when it comes to trying to stay on top of fashion trends (Believe me, I know). Its not hard to feel as though you need to use all the money you have to buy every single clothing item that's on trend to blend in with all the instagram cool kids - but you have to ask yourself if you really need some of these clothes - and ask yourself if you can picture yourself still wearing these clothes a year from now; these questions will help you save so much money, since you won't make impulse purchases for the sake of avoiding instagram fashion FOMO.
