How to Be More Productive This Year

It’s easy to fall into last year’s patterns if you don’t make it a point to really commit to your New Year’s goals. Whether you’re going into a new quarter at work, starting a new semester at school, or just need to get yourself organized -- it can be a little intimidating. However, thanks to these tips, you’re about to have the best start to the year yet.

Write everything down

If you’re writing everything you need to do down, it’s less likely that you’ll forget it. Write down your goals, write down your to-dos, take notes in meetings or in class… seriously don’t forget! Trust us, you’ll thank us in the future.

Drink celery juice

Nix your coffee habit and replace it with celery juice. There are a MILLION amazing reasons why celery juice is the new craze, but our favorite is the amount of energy it gives us. We feel more focused and alert throughout the whole day!

Allow yourself breaks

With all of this work, you need to allow yourself to have breaks. We like to use the Pomodoro Technique. We’ll work for 25 minutes, then allow ourselves a five minute break (and so on). After four pomodoros, take a longer break. If this doesn’t work for you, find something that does! Just always allow yourself some time to decompress.

Take care of yourself

We are always pushing self-care because it is SO IMPORTANT. If you’re not taking care of yourself, you won’t be able to get anything done. Remember to get the right amount of sleep, drink enough water, exercise, wash your face, allow time for meditation or reading, see your friends and do what makes you happy. This is the most important thing you can do.
