2019 Summer Bucket List

Summer is finally here! That means school is over, the sun is out and we’re all ready to make 2019 the best summer of our lives. It’s the sort of thing you tell yourself every year, but after a few weeks you find yourself hiding inside scrolling endlessly on your phone. So this year, make a bucket list so you don’t lose sight of the things you want to do. Don’t have any idea on what should be included on this list? Well, don’t worry. We’re sharing our ultimate summer bucket list with you!

Make A Summer Playlist

This is the perfect way to get into the summer mood. Make a playlist with all your favorite songs. These can be new songs that are really hot right now or older songs that just make you think of summer. Through the summer, you can use it for parties, long car trips or just to relax while reading. And perhaps you’ll find some good new music while making it! Some of my suggestions (mix of new and older songs)

1. Taki Taki – Dj Snake ft Selena Gomez, Ozuna, Cardi B
2. High Hopes - Panic! At the disco
3. Despacito – Luis Fonsi ft Daddy Yankee
4. Dancing queen – ABBA
5. Old Town Road – Lil Nas X ft Billy Ray Cyrus
6. Calm Down – Taylor Swift
7. Sucker – Jonas Brothers
8. Bailando - Enrique Iglesias ft. Descemer Bueno, Gente De Zona
9. Señorita - Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello
10. Summer Of '69 - Bryan Adams

Pool Party
What is summer without a pool party? It’s the first thing that comes to mind when we think about the hot weather. It’s also the perfect occasion to invite your friends that you swore you would see this year during summer. Prepare some food like fruit salads, get your floaties out and enjoy your day!
Don’t have a pool?
Well, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with water on a hot day! You can always use some water guns or hold a water balloon fight to keep cool. Fun guaranteed.

Day Trips
Day trips are such a fun thing to do in summer. You can have an amazing day with friends or family without having to worry about where you are going to stay or spending too much money. It’s also a great way to feel like you’re on a trip even if you’re not travelling this summer. Fun places to go to are the beach or a theme park

Go Somewhere You’ve Never Been
Summer is the perfect time to explore the world! Pack your luggage, book your flight and there you go. Travelling is so much fun - you meet new people, explore new places and learn about the history and culture of the city you’re in. It also gives you a chance to take amazing pictures to show your friends and family.
But if you are a broke student just like me, that doesn’t mean you have to sit inside the whole summer! There are definitely some places so close to you where you have never been. If it’s a part of town you’ve never been, a new store, a nature park,…. Why wouldn’t you go take a look for yourself?

Watch A Sunset Or Sunrise
Romantically watching the sun go down sitting next to the love of your life, is there anything more beautiful in this world? But the sunset is not only for lovers. We love pretty skies and we personally think there is no better way to end a summer day than to watch a pretty sunset. If you want to switch it up for a change, watch the sunrise! Yes, you’ll have to wake up pretty early, but we promise you it’s going to be totally worth it.

Get A Tan
Summer means finally getting a tan. Go lay in the sun for a day accompanied by some cool drinks, a few magazines and you’ll get that ultimate summer color. Don’t forget to use sunscreen even if you don’t get sunburned that easily. Sunscreen protects your skin and is absolutely always needed!
And for the people that just don’t seem to be able to get a tan, don’t worry. Trust me, we know exactly what it feels like to be paler than a snowman, so even if you don’t get a tan being out in the sun can be so much fun. Everybody is a summer body, doesn’t matter if you are pale, have stretch marks, are plus size, have scars. Summer is the time to have fun, we don’t have time for body shaming here. So get that bikini and rock it girl!

Go Camping (In Your Backyard)
Camping is an ultimate summer activity. If you go to a summer camp or you go camping with some friends, it will be an amazing experience. Pack your tents, some food and go out there in nature. You’re not really an adventurer? Going camping in your backyard is a really good alternative! It had a lot of advantages too: you feel like you are not at home but the safe zone is really close if something goes wrong. So decorate your backyard, set up your tents, bring a few movies and some snacks and you can have an awesome ‘camping trip’.

Go To A Concert/ Festival
Going to concerts is so enjoyable. You finally see your favorite artist in real life and it just feels magical. In summer, there a way more outdoor concerts. This makes it even more special. Festivals are the ultimate ‘concert’. The really extra outfits, the sun that laughs at you and so many amazing singers and bands at one place! It’s like a mini- trip to another country. The best part about concerts and festivals is that there are so many people together that all enjoy the same thing at that moment.

Make A Memory Jar
A memory jar is such an amazing idea to ‘document’ your summer without having to write something every day in a dairy. You make so many amazing memories during summer that you’ll forget some and writing everything down can be a lot of work. So, if something fun happened, write it down on a little post-it, fold it into a little square and put it in a box or glass jar. Put all your other little ‘souvenirs of the summer’ in the jar too. For example: Concert or festival tickets, train tickets, maps of the places you’ve been, a little flower or stone from a certain destination, a polaroid,…. When the summer is over, you can look back and all the memories will come back

Make A Photo Album
During summer, we make so many pictures. And of course, we put some of them on We Heart It or Instagram but that doesn’t mean we have to leave all those other pretty pics on our phone. Make a photo album with your favorite pictures of the summer. You can put all your creativity into this, make an online album or do it by hand on paper,… you choose! It’s super fun to do and you have a unique memory of the summer afterwards!

Enjoy summer and make it the best one you’ve ever had!
