If you wanna buy a new perfume you should better know these.
An Eau de Toilette has a low perfume proportion (6-9%) and is more fleeting than an Eau de Parfum. It is cheaper than the Eau de Parfum. It lasts for a few hours.
An Eau de Cologne has the lowest perfume proportion (3-5%) and was actually intended as a refreshing water. It only lasts for about an hour and is the cheapest version.
2. The perfect scent
you should only buy a perfume whose scent you like, it doesn't matter if others like it or not because you're the one who is wearing it all day long and has to smell it all the time
try to find a matching lotion that completes the scent
find out which kind of scent do you like (sweet, flowery, oriental,...) but if you are at a store don't try too much fragrances at one time, because it would get you irritated
3. choose a perfume that fits your current/upcoming situation
if you're in a room full of people or at work/school, try to avoid strong scents
you can use a stronger scent (Eau de Parfum) on a date, party,...
wear your perfume with confidence
4. spray on your pulse points
pulse points radiate body heat and this will increase the scent of your perfume
these points can be your neck, inner wrists, collarbone, neck under your ear and behind your knees
use a distance up to 15 cm
do not rub the perfume in, the scent will get unevenly
